Heir to the Binton family line, Lyra has been raised in comfort and love. Both of her parents come from lesser Pureblood families, who mingled their lines with Halfbloods throughout the centuries. The only child of only children, she has been dotted on from the beginning.

While others in her circumstances may have become haughty and self-important, Lyra is nothing but kind and giving. Her parents were very instrumental in her upbringing, having the luxury to be home with her often as her father’s business of high-end cauldrons was successfully run by those he put in place below him. Much of her childhood was filled with laughter, play, and of course magic.

When she was sent to Hogwarts, it was no surprise that she was sorted into Hufflepuff, as her parents before her. Through the years, she has found much success in befriending her fellow students, and feels quite at home in the castle. She has a special love of Charms, and plans to follow in her father’s footsteps when she gets older.
