Hogwarts Jobs
Thank you for considering being part of the faculty at Hogwarts. It is a very rewarding and integral part of BTW, and we hope you enjoy your time teaching. We ask that you first take a read through the
Professor Handbook, to make sure you don't have any questions before taking on the job.
As stated on
Harry Potter Wiki, there are different forms of classes. Some are offered to certain years (Electives), while others are considered "Core" classes (available each year, and beyond O.W.L. exams). There are also Extra classes, which may be up to the teacher which years they are geared towards.
Please note, unlike the HP books, the Ministry controlled "alternate timeline" in BTW has no need for a Defense Against the Dark Arts Class. Similarly, Muggle Studies is taught in such a way as to reflect the history of the hateful and fearful Muggles that the Ministry is seeking to protect the wizarding world from.

The Head Boy and Head Girl (7th Years), while possibly chosen from the Prefects the year before, do not have to be. For Prefects, there will be one boy and one girl from each house chosen during their fifth year. (For now, they will hold their title throughout the rest of their schooling. If the site increases to a large enough number of students, we may add more than two Prefects per house, allowing.)
